The District 109 2025 edition of the winter conference will take place in Lugano, at the LUGANODANTE Boutique & Lifestyle Hotel.
21 to 23 November 2025.
Joining us for the weekend will be no less than our 2025 World Champion of Public Speaking, Sabyasachi (Saby) Sengupta!
Joining Saby, will be Multi-time semi-finalist and District Speech Champion, Fursey Gotuaco. Plus our very own John Zimmer. Coach and workshop presenter. And coincidentally, coach to this year’s WCPS, Saby! Carina Schey will present a workshop on how to prepare for club contests. And Margherita Brodbeck Roth will host a panel
discussion with our celebrities as expert panel members.

This IStanbul – 2024 Spring Conference
This IStanbul, the 2024 District 109 Conference was held in Istanbul from 10 – 12 May 2024.
Keynote speakers included Verity Price, DTM – the first speaker from Africa and 6th woman in history to ever win the World Championship of Public Speaking, Jean Gamester, DTM, International Director Region 10, 2023 – 2024, serial entrepreneur and startup coach, Ali Parandeh Zandpour, and District 109 2023-2034 Director Margherita Brodbeck Roth, DTM.

A Better Mi – 2023 Spring Conference
The 2023 conference, A Better MI was held in Milan from 12 to 14 May 2023. Keynote speakers included past World Champions of Public Speaking, Darren LaCroix (2001), and Mohammed Qahtani (2015).
